We get it - when you donate to an organization, it's only natural to wonder where your money actually goes. We want you to feel confident that your contribution truly matters. Every single dollar donated directly supports the pigs in our care, and for the sake of transparency, here are just a few of the ways your dollar helps:
Helps us keep them warm and comfortable - $20 provides one bale of straw
Helps us keep their bellies full - $18 provides one bag of feed
Helps us keep their bodies well - $280 covers hoof and tusk care for one pig for 6 months
Helps us keep them healthy - $190 covers, on average, one pig's medical care per year
Helps us solve the bigger issue - $400 covers one spay/neuter surgery
Of course, there are many one-time costs, such as secure fencing and housing and replacing worn out items like feeding troughs, bowls, blankets, crates, and other everyday tools that we rely on. Whenever we have surplus, we also help support other sanctuaries whose needs are more dire or urgent than our own.
